FLAT MOON

Leeds funk-punk band

Crash-landing somewhere between funk and punk, Flat Moon are a genre-defying six-piece collective creating groove-driven music with a flair for chaos. With roots scattered across the UK, the band blend elements of funk, psychedelic rock, jazz-fusion, punk, and disco—yet somehow still sound like no one but themselves.

Formed in 2019, Flat Moon channel themes of escapism and neurodivergence. Their performances are a whirlwind of syncopated rhythms and fuzzed-out guitars, with infectious energy and an open invitation to dance, feel, and let go.

The current lineup features founding members Ali (bass), Matty (rhythm guitar), and Jacob (lead guitar/vocals), joined by Scarlet (saxophone), Sam (drums), and George (percussion). Together, they’re a tight-knit unit of creatives and friends, driven by a shared love for funky music.
